6-(TRIFLUOROMETHYL)PYRIDINE-2-BORONIC ACID - Introduction
6-Trifluoromethylpyridine-2-boronic acid, also known as TFP-2-boronic acid, is an organoboron compound.
Nature:
TFP-2-boric acid is a colorless crystal or white solid, has good solubility, in water, organic solvents and acidic conditions can be dissolved. It is a weakly acidic substance that forms salts and complexes.
Use:
TFP-2-boronic acid is commonly used as a reagent in chemical synthesis, mainly for boron reagents, fluorine reagents and ligands in organic synthesis reactions. It can be used as a catalyst to participate in a variety of organic synthesis reactions, such as Suzuki coupling reaction, Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction and so on. In addition, it can also be used in organic synthesis of fluorination reaction, alcohol dehydration reaction, cyclization reaction.
Method:
There are two main methods for the preparation of TFP-2-boric acid:
1. reacting trifluoromethylpyridine with boric acid to give TFP-2-boronic acid.
2. Trifluoromethylpyridine is obtained by reacting trifluoroformic acid with pyridine, followed by reaction with boric acid to obtain TFP-2-boronic acid.
Safety Information:
TFP-2-boric acid is generally relatively safe under normal conditions of use, but the following points should be noted:
1. due to TFP-2-boric acid has a certain corrosive, contact with skin, eyes and respiratory tract should pay attention to protection.
2. use to avoid inhalation of dust, should wear appropriate protective equipment, such as protective glasses, respirators.
3. During the operation, good ventilation conditions should be maintained to avoid the accumulation of harmful gases.
4. avoid mixing with oxidants, strong acids and other substances to avoid dangerous reactions.
5. should be properly stored after use, avoid contact with air to prevent decomposition or degradation.
